Norwegian Subsea, a specialist in high-performance Motion Reference Units (MRUs), will unveil its new MRU designed specifically for sonar applications at Ocean Business 2025. Visitors to stand V53 will discover how the new MRU unlocks exceptional performance and cost savings, significantly lowering the investment barrier for high-quality sonar motion compensation.
Building on Norwegian Subsea's proven MRU technology, the new product offers the same calibration-free, low-maintenance reliability for which the company’s motion compensation products are renowned. It promises to significantly enhance sonar data and operational efficiency, enabling users to achieve high accuracy without the costs typically associated with premium priced survey-grade equipment.
Fredrik Dukan, CEO of Norwegian Subsea, said: “While end-users already integrate our MRUs with their sonars, we're particularly excited to introduce an MRU specifically designed for this important application. We're confident Ocean Business attendees will appreciate the dramatic improvements in performance and affordability it brings, and we look forward to discussing how it can support their operations.”
Norwegian Subsea invites attendees to visit stand V53 and join CEO Fredrik Dukan’s presentation in the Discovery Room at 11:30 on 8th April to learn more about how this innovation is setting a new benchmark in motion compensation for marine surveying and sonar applications.
